Senior Account Manager

Woodstock, Cape Town

Elevator is on the hunt for an  Account Manager to join our agency.

The Account Manager is responsible for taking client campaigns (both digital and experiential) from concept development into execution and ultimate conclusion. The AM will be expected to project manage accounts by effectively working within the client services team. This involves taking ownership of allocated client accounts and campaigns in order to produce professional and creative campaign plans and/or solutions. The AM is responsible for multiple client accounts and campaigns and will be expected to demonstrate a high level of responsibility.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Budget and reconciliation management
  • Write accurate, insightful, and single-minded brief
  • Ensure that the production team has a sound understanding of the campaign
  • Work with the production team to produce project plan and schedule
  • Manage all client service suppliers (digital, creative, staffing, PR) related to a campaign
  • Conduct thorough post campaign analysis
  • Produce debrief document with results and implementable key learnings and recommendations that improves the Elevator offering

NB requirements:

  • Relevant degree/diploma in marketing/events management
  • Three years’ work experience as an account manager in an agency similar to Elevator
  • Drivers licence and own transport
  • Be prepared to travel and work on site over weekends occasionally
  • Digital experience is advantageous

Senior Copywriter

Woodstock, Cape Town

Elevator is on the hunt for a senior copywriter to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be more than a wordsmith. We looking for someone with strong conceptual ability

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Playing a central role in thinking up and developing fresh concepts that achieve the sometimes-difficult balance or being pioneering whilst also grounded in insights and our clients brief and objectives
  • Leading the idealisation process of brainstorming and linked desk work to distil and develop ideas
  • Articulating ideas through explanation, diagrams and other methods as appropriate
  • Creating client facing presentations that are not formulaic, predictable of wordy; presentations that tell stories and grab the attention of often busy minded people
  • Maintaining an attention to detail. This is more than just avoiding typos. Ensuring that all elements of the brief are covered and being thorough in your approach to all your work
  • Writing the words/script required to communicate and explain the idea to clients in presentations
  • Developing key copy and names that play a central part in our conceptual ideas
  • Presenting concepts to clients in a confident, engaging and occasionally unusual way
  • Mentoring junior colleagues in a professional and caring way that ensures the team grows together
  • Keeping regular tabs on your emails and diary, so you are on top of what is going on and can independently able to prioritise work and manage your time to ensure best outcomes
  • Ensuring work is delivered on time and deadlines are met

Requirements

  • Relevant Marketing Qualification
  • Min 5 years’ agency experience (not negotiable), ideally with bias towards BTL
  • Strong conceptual ability (not negotiable)
  • A passion for brand strategy (not negotiable)
  • Good understanding of consumer dynamics and the full racial spectrum of the SA marketplace (not negotiable)
  • Finger on the pulse’ individual, aware and up to date regarding local and international brand and consumer trends
  • Good communication skills: both written and verbal
  • Must be able to manage a time and work to tight deadlines
  • Great organization skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to multitask (manage multiple creative briefs at one time)

Staffing Manager (also known as Account/Campaign Manager)

Woodstock, Cape Town

Elevator is on the hunt for a staffing manager (also, known as a campaign coordinator).

We are looking for a go-getter that isn’t bound to nine to five working hours but willing to push boundaries to get the job done. The ideal candidate will have experience working at a promotions company in the capacity of a staffing/account/campaign manager or similar.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Booking and confirming staff for promotions, activations and events
  • Sourcing/briefing/training staff for the campaigns they assigned too
  • Ensuring staff has all promotional items for the campaign
  • The SM will be expected the go-to activations to ensure they are running correctly. This also extends to managing activations and promotions when needed
  • Working with costings (PO’s and CE’s) for clients
  • Working on the Elevator database and ensuring all contracts of staff is signed and filed
  • Stock take and quality control
  • Storeroom management

Skills required:

  • Excellent communication verbal and written
  • Attention to detail
  • Assertive
  • Proactive
  • Deadline-driven
  • Proficient in MS office
  • Diploma in events/marketing/PR/communications or similar
  • At least two years of campaign management experience (not negotiable)
  • At least two years of experience working in an agency environment
  • Driver’s License (not negotiable)
